CBD and Hemp
Cannabidiol (CBD) is an active compound extracted from the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant. Unlike regular cannabis, it doesn’t contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient that produces a high when smoked or eaten. Read our blog post for more information: What is CBD?
CBD has exploded in popularity over the last few years, thanks to a rise in studies suggesting it may help with a variety of physical and mental conditions. People take CBD to ease anxiety, depression, arthritis, epilepsy, chronic pain, and much more.
Some people may feel lightheaded after consuming CBD, possibly due to changes in their blood flow, brain cells, and nervous system. This is a fairly rare side effect and usually wears off quickly, especially as you become more used to consuming CBD.
The euphoric effects (or ‘high’) caused by consuming regular cannabis come from the presence of THC, a psychoactive compound. CBD flowers are sourced from female hemp plants that have been selectively cultivated to have high amounts of CBD and minimal levels of THC, meaning they don’t cause any kind of high when consumed.
Our products contain less than 0.2% THC, so they don’t cause the psychoactive ‘high’ you’d get from smoking a regular joint. This makes them completely legal under UK law.
CBD oil and CBD gummies work essentially the same way – CBD gummies contain hemp oil infused with high concentrations of CBD, much like CBD oil and CBD capsules. Their only notable difference is in how they’re consumed, as gummies are meant to be chewed before swallowing.
Because of the presence of carrier oils and how quickly they absorb in the mouth, CBD oils tend to enter the body faster than their gummy counterparts.
Everyone’s body is different, so there’s no hard or fast answer to how many CBD gummies you can take. Most people take 1 to 5 a day, depending on how strong they’d like the effects to be.
CBD pre-rolls are a great choice for newcomers since they’re affordable, convenient, and simple. You don’t need to bother with grinding the herb or rolling the joint, and you can try out lots of different strains without shelling out for a full batch.
If you’re never tried CBD and feel nervous about smoking, there are plenty of alternatives you can choose from: gummies and hemp tea are super easy to consume, and they taste great too!
The battery life of a disposable vape pen usually lasts for around 300 to 500 puffs, but this can vary depending on how deep you inhale and the specific model you use.
A growing body of studies support CBD as a treatment for generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Always check with your GP before starting any complementary treatment.
Hemp tea has a pleasantly earthy taste, much like other herbal teas. Different strains have different flavours: some are sweet and light, while others are rich and spicy. Experiment to find the one you love most!
CBD is generally thought to be very safe, and most people can use it without any issues. However, in some rare cases, you might experience side effects like dry mouth, diarrhoea, reduced appetite, and drowsiness. Keep in mind that CBD can also interact with other medications you’re taking, so make sure to check with your doctor first.
Consuming CBD is believed to help ease muscle tension and spasms, making it a great post-workout aid. It also prevents damage to surrounding healthy muscles by soothing mild inflammation.
